Chapter 6: Contrail-Control

This is the Control Plane for the Contrail System. It works on ACTIVE/ACTIVE Mode.

The above digram is referenced from Contrail Architecture document.

• Receives the config data from IF-MAP Server(Config Node).
• Runs XMPP Server, and push the data (routing , config) to the VRouter agent in XMPP protocol.
• Interacts with BGP with physical routers (Gateway)
• Control node also does some proxy for compute node( Meta data service)
